Receive money
PremiumGuests can add a tip to their requests. Payments go through Stripe and are only collected when the song is played and detected live: guests only pay for songs they actually hear.
01Set up your wallet
- 1Open the Wallet tab.
- 2Tap Configure and create your Stripe account: your details, then the bank account to receive the money.
- 3If Stripe asks for verification, tap Complete to finish it.
PremiumTips are part of Premium: the option shows up in your events once your wallet is set up.
02Turn on tips for an event
- 1In the event form, open Tips.
- 2Set the Minimum tip for a request.
- 3Turn on Mandatory tip if every request must come with a tip.
03How your guests pay
When sending their request, the guest adds a tip and enters their card. The amount is only put on hold: they're charged only if the song is detected live.
Requests with a tip are highlighted in your list.
04Turn on song detection
- 1During the night, open your event in the Special Request app on your iPhone, iPad or Android device, or on your Mac. Song detection isn't available in the web version.
- 2Tap Enable Microphone and allow microphone access.
- 3For a public event, allow location too: it confirms detection happens at the event's venue.
- 4Keep the app open near the speakers. It recognizes the song playing and marks it as played.
The song must play long enough for the tip to be collected: the app shows you how long.
Tip:On a Mac, the app detects the songs you play by itself, no phone needed.
05Get paid
Collected tips appear in your Wallet, first in the pending balance. They become available about 7 days after the show and are paid out to your bank account by Stripe.
Tap Access My Account to see your payouts in Stripe.
06Our fees
On each tip collected, we take 10% + $0.30. That covers both the platform fee and Stripe's payment processing fee: nothing else is added, and the rest is yours.
For example, on a $10 tip, you receive $8.70.
